They are the most experienced and largest producer of real pinball machines in business today! Modern classics in this collection include: Stern Pinball Inc® has created many of the all-time greatest pinball tables. Still, good for them to get a nice funding boost to hopefully go after more licenses.Stern Pinball Arcade is the most realistic and accurate pinball game ever created! Barring those changes, Judgment on PS5 includes all. There have been some changes like Yagami’s office pinball being replaced with OutRun and the addition of Virtua Fighter 2 in the arcade replacing Puyo Puyo. I don't think I'd buy much on EGS though versus console (since my PC is pretty weak) and I'd be mostly waiting on if they'd support EGS/Steam table cross buy. In terms of story content and gameplay, Judgment on PS5 (and Xbox Series XS) doesn’t offer anything new over the original game. Not really bugged about the change from Steam to EGS for PC much either since the usual gripe I have with EGS (no achievements) would be mitigated by FX's in-game table achievements. Wii U owners weren't able to transfer to Switch either and that was waaaaaaaaaayyyyy more dumb IMO and I lived with that, so I can live with this. And that full set will probably be Series X with FX21. Having rebought tables I liked whenever I get a new console (PS4, Series X, and Steam), I'm kinda used to rebuying my favorites and sticking with one for a full set. As much as I like each new entry, they feel pretty samey in the ultimate long-run, so if this one ditches that feel and adds a bunch of fun new stuff I'll be in day one on Series X! Kiiiinda doubting how the Switch version will run though considering it's not next gen yet they're making stuff for it anyway! But I'll at least get marvel stuff there if they continue to not add them to FX3 on Switch. Honestly i'm not too bothered by the lack of transferring considering the complete retooling of the engine and the fact they're finally getting off the same built-up-to-death system that has been in place since Pinball FX1. That'll be the key to a smooth transaction to "FX4" and people accepting the not so consumer friendly change.Īlso hope they have good things lined-up, for I've been playing Zaccaria pinball more than ZEN during the Corona era. Hope they've had time to fine-tune the new engine so it'll be ready and more importantly FEEL like a upgraded new generation. In that regard the decision is probable right to jump to a new generation now with things having slowed down so much for FX3 since the pandemic hit (and even before that). ZEN has been off their game for a little while now, only amplified with Covid hitting and them having close to nothing to offer. Will be the first generation shift I follow pinball, so only a mild burn, but I definitely feel for those that have experienced this several times over now (FX2, etc). My platform is the Switch and I've got all the tables for FX3 available there, and honestly i'll probable be going 100% in on the new Pinball FX when it arrives. Not the best of feelings, but most of this was expected.
